We talked about violence against women, we painted together and now we are exhibiting these paintings. The paintings in the exhibition were made with a total of 129 women in 10 different workshops.
The workshops started in Istanbul and continued in Adana and Hatay earthquake zones. In the painting workshops, women talked about violence, shared their own examples and started painting! The workshops were implemented by artist Meryem Tomak. In some workshops, women painted on small cloths and these paintings were combined by Meryem Tomak. In other workshops, women worked together as a group to paint larger paintings on sheets.
